Contact form

When you send a message via the contact form, the data entered in the form (email, name, and content of the message) are collected so that I can respond to you.

The legal basis for the collection and processing of the personal data you share when you send a message via the contact form is the consent of the concerned person (you must tick a box when filling out the form.)

When you leave a comment on a post of the site, the data entered in the comment form (display name, email, website, and message) as well as your IP address and the user agent of your browser are collected to help me detect unwanted comments.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also know as a hash) can be sent to the Gravatar service to check if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy notices are available here: Your profile picture will be publicly visible next to your comment.

  • When you leave a comment on a post, you will be offered to save your name, email address, and website in cookies. This is only for your convenience so that you do not have to enter this information if you write another comment later. These cookies expire after one year.
  • When you visit the site, a cookie is set up to save your language settings and to automatically display your preferred language on a future visit. The lifetime of the cookie is one year.
  • I use the NewStatPress plugin to measure the traffic on the website and analyse the pages visited. NewStatPress uses cookies and collects visitor information, such as the IP address, the user agent of the browser, country, date and time, and viewed pages. The only personal data that is collected is the IP address but, for the sake of data privacy, all IP addresses are systematically encrypted. Therefore, I can’t see them.
  • Browsing on this site may create social network sharing cookies on your terminal which link you to your profile on social networks and allow you to share a post. I have no control over these cookies. You can read the privacy policies of each of these social networks directly on their website.
  • Some blog posts on this site include affiliate links leading to online shops. These links have a different display than the other links as they’re green, like this one. Clicking on these links can create cookies on your terminal. I have no control over these cookies. You can read the privacy policies of each of these online shops directly on their website.
